I feel so honored to have dogs and all animals in my life, but I also do feel a particular moral responsibility to honor the dog by providing him with the clearest communication and structure so that he can have the best possible quality of and contentment in life.
Austrian zoologist, ethologist, and ornithologist Konrad Lorenz said,
“The fidelity of a dog is a precious gift demanding no less binding moral responsibilities than the friendship of a human being. The bond with a true dog is as lasting as the ties of this earth can ever be, a fact which should be noted by anyone who decides to acquire a canine friend."
Additionally, Orhan Pamuk (Turkish novelist, screenwriter, academic, and recipient of the 2006 Nobel Prize in Literature) said,
"Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen."
For this reason, I am passionate about continuing to grow and learn as a trainer so as to reach more dogs, of all breeds and sizes, and their people. I believe that each dog has his own unique personality and we must learn to communicate with him in a way he can understand. Dogs, in turn, try to impart their feelings to us if we are only willing to listen carefully. Through this thoughtful approach and observation, I believe lies the path to successful training, communication, and relationship building.

Dog Handler
A note from Vero:
Hi everyone! I am super excited to be starting with DD where I'll be spending my days walking dogs, helping with pick-ups and drop-offs, and basically living my dream of hanging out with a bunch of adorable pups. I'm also a photographer, so don't be surprised if I end up taking a few cute photos along the way. If you see me out and about, there's a good chance I'm being enthusiastically walked by a dog instead of the other way around. I can't wait to meet all the fluffy personalitities and give them the best day ever!
